Nissan has always been known for producing top class cars which not only become a hit but also continue to appeal its customers even after the discontinuation of production. The Nissan 300ZX is not an exception in this case. This car has been out of market for more than a decade but even the customers who have enthusiasm for sports car look for this lineup of Nissan. It was one of the first mass produced Japanese cars that utilized a V6 engine instead of contemporary inline 6 cylinder engines. It was a naturally aspirated engine; however, option for including turbocharging was also available. In case of transmission both the automatic and manual transmission system was available. The 300ZX was modified in 1986 for the first time. Hood scoop was removed to make it look sleeker and side skirts were added. The wheel diameter was also increased to 16 inch. This generation got its final facelift in the model year 1987 with more aerodynamic exterior, improved fog lights and a LED light on top of the hatch. The second major facelift came in the year 1989. The whole car was redesigned using advanced softwares and latest computer technologies. Besides, electronic component were included to allow more control over the interior climate and CD player was also added to entertain the passengers. In 1992 a significant improvement came in the safety feature with the inclusion of airbags. In the later years the front fascia and rear spoiler was modified to match the whole exterior. The Nissan 300ZX lasted till the year 2000 with some other modification in both its interior and exterior. In spite of being so much popular in the American automobile market the 300ZX failed because of its higher price than other cars of the same class.
